Project Manager

Due to company growth we are looking for an experienced Project and Contract Manager to be part of a strong and exciting construction team. You will oversee projects, site, design and client teams throughout the build process to deliver projects of the highest of standards in align with Horizons values and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Responsible for Construction Programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Meet contractual conditions on performance
  • Review and monitor progress and weekly reports
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
  • Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Ensure company standards and quality is being met
  • Reporting directly to company Directors

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in construction management
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the ‘big picture’
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills

Site Manager

Due to increased work load, we are expanding our construction team and seeking experienced Site Managers for upcoming projects in Surrey and London. The successful Site Manager must be/have;

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the site, will endeavour to deliver the project on time, to the highest levels of quality, within budget and ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that adequate site records are maintained. This will include the daily diary, weekly labour timesheets, plant, materials and goods returned, project progress photos, site inductions and health and safety records.
  • Control and monitor the use of all resources including sub-contractors to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures, documentation, audits are completed correctly in a time efficient manner.
  • Identify the need for Risk assessments/Safe Systems of work and implement on site.
  • Carryout toolbox talks with all site staff and maintain records of talks.
  • People and stakeholder management.
  • Identify and resolve possible issues/problems.

Requirements

  • Experience of leading and implementing a broad range of projects, managing supplier contracts and ensuring service performance.
  • Residential and Commercial experience.
  • Experience of managing and leading a team.
  • A sound understanding of modern construction techniques including; fit out trades, structured, cladding systems etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and customer focused.
  • Eye for Detail and understanding expected standards to be delivered and quality checking.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding.
  • Must be numerate with good IT skills.
  • Have high aspirations and ambitions.

Assistant/Trainee Site Manager

Due to increased work load, we are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our expanding construction team for upcoming projects in Surrey and London. The successful candidate must be/have;

Responsibilities 

  • The successful candidate will work alongside and support the Site Management teams.
  • They will assist the site team to ensure highest levels of quality compliance, and ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times.
  • Oversee drawing, RFI and CVI management
  • Work with the Site Manager to ensure that adequate site records are maintained. this will include the daily diary, weekly labour timesheets, plant, material and goods returned, project progress photos, site inductions and Health and Safety records.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures, documentation, audits are completed correctly in a time efficient manner.
  • Carryout toolbox talks with all site staff and maintain records of talks.
  • Identify and resolve possible issues/problems.

Requirements 

  • Construction experience preferred but not necessary.
  • An understanding of modern construction techniques.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, be self motivated and customer focused.
